How does your personal perspective on time affect your approach to retirement planning?
More than 300 residents are participating in this study by Flinders University in Australia and the Retirement Planning Research Laboratory at Oklahoma State to learn about the impact of having a past-oriented, present-oriented, or future-oriented mindset.
This study explores the importance of people’s time perspective on their process of planning for retirement and their decision to move to a retirement community.
Also, over 100 residents are volunteering to beta-test an online retirement planning educational program created by the Australian researchers designed to motivate and help people plan better for their retirement years and long-term health care.
The data collection for this study is complete, and analysis of the results is underway.
